Comp stereos fucked

When my comp starts up, it makes a sound out of the stereos, just like normal... After that, nothing.

It's been ages since I've used an actual sound system with my computer (I've been using a USB headset for the last 12+ months)

Anyway, check what your current sound mixer is. As I recall when I used to have a sound system plugged into my computer it was using it's own software as opposed to the default windows software/sound mixer. Sometimes after installing new programmes or unplugging/plugging it back in the software would switch around and the sound mixer would fuck up. Go to CP > Hardware and Sound and then just fiddle around with the available options in there. I can guarantee you that this is all the problem is. Disable the option that is currently enabled, and then enable the one that's currently disabled (if you see 2 similar things)

Have new sound drivers been installed? Or possibly try reinstalling your current ones if they're the newest.

It is a drivers problem.... uninstall the drivers and reinstall them... i fix these problems all the time at work... if you want more detailed shit you should just IM me and get me some more details of what kinda shit your running. If you have software (which i dont think you have) uninstall and reinstall.
Most of the time when you uninstall drivers and restart they reinstall automatically for you.

Comp thinks headphones are plugged in. It shouldn't be a hardware problem since the speakers make a blast sound on startup (even with headphones plugged).
