I was watching the news yesterday, and there was a man in a 2010 Toyota Prius and his accelerator was stuck pushed down all the way. He hit top speed of like 92MPH or something.
He got lucky and they were able to engage the brakes+emergency brakes. He was unable to shut off the car because it was a push to start.
That car apparently is not even on any recalls currently sent out. If that effects a whole new line of Toyota makes, I see this company hitting rock bottom. Who would want to buy any new toyota that could kill you?

FYI akari my vehicle has a brake at the foot for an emercency. So it's called a handbrake? I think all trucks have that as well.. A brake you push in with the foot to stop instead of pulling with your hand. I also thing that goes for most luxury vehicles.
That's besides the point anyway.

1. The recalls have been all over the internet for weeks, but I'm not saying "omg there are recalls." I'm saying that the company is in trouble.
2. I agree, should have put in neutral but unless you're in the situation, or have gone through it, you can't call him an idiot. Multiple things are going through your head, especially if you are at 90mph. You're dodging traffic, making sure everything is clear, etc.
3. You do realize the recalls and problems have been happening on MANY different toyota models, not only a Prius (Which in fact the recalls were not a Prius).

It becomes much less of a hassle if you stop being an idiot and put it in neutral and if he wasn't a tard, he would be in neutral before 90 mph.
