Topic: Most challenging challenge
After I get home from this vacation I am going to not drink for a month.
This may not seem like a long time to many of you under agers, though it is.
I drink beer normally every day, not to get drunk ... drink one or two a day
and get drunk 3 times a week or so.
This also will be challenging because all of my mates at the university drink a lot
and many meeting places are at bars or house parties.
I am hoping that the out comes are:
- I will feel better (i wake up most days feeling like shit).
- I will lose a good 15 pounds (I go to the gym and lose nothing when im drinking so regularly).
- I wont feel such like an alci
- save a lot of money
- sleep better
- stop posting dumb drunk things on wpge
- etc
The question is will i do it? Can i do it?
I am thinking no.

Re: Most challenging challenge
15lbs in a month with no change in diet except a lack of alcohol intake? I'm sceptical to say the least. Not to distract from any acheivements though; good luck!

Re: Most challenging challenge
I guarantee you can do it. Though, you have to really want to, and not just think it.
Demi, I'm sure he drinks beer. If it is beer, then he consumes a lot of empty calories. If he completely drops off beer, and continues working out, he will lose weight.

I dunno how many calories, or rather, carbohydrates are in the beer he's drinking, but if he's cutting out the equivalent of 2 or 3 bottles of Coke a day and doing physical exercise every day then I reckon he could have a shot.
Better to be dead then red.

Re: Most challenging challenge
I eat alright right now... not the healthiest but though I hardly eat fast food.
I want to eat more greens and less fried foods.
when 15 pounds is gone I will just keep up on my eating and running. I think i would be able to drink the same as before without gaining it back .... etc.

Self control is probably the most important thing with this "challenge."

Re: Most challenging challenge
Your biggest problem is your addiction. Don't see it as a short-term goal, try to change your lifestyle completely, including your alcohol habbit. I know it's very inviting to drink when you're attending uni, but try to cut it down to 1-2 days a week (that being too much already imo).
Good luck.

Re: Most challenging challenge
Okay i have failed on the 5th day (this was last weekend). I am planning on drinking tonight/tomorrow/Saturday (because i need to attend parties that i need to drink at or i will be bored).
Over All goal ---> cut down on drinking 2 times a week.... one full month is much to difficult.
My title stands correct.
On the other hand ... with cutting drinking down and eating well i have lost 7 pounds in a week and a half (or so).
