I knew Ferguson would roll it for Australia in this series. Too bad Ponting is back in the team, he's taken the captaincy off Clarke and I swear it's going to be nothing but bad news for Australia. Oh and Lee... he's fucking back in the swing of thing. 4 in-swinging toe crushers at over 150km/h each. INSANE (Though his RPI was pretty bad at over 5 an over)
Without KP and Freddie England stood NO chance in the OD series, not making excuses though England should have taken the first 2 and the shit bowling at southhampton cost the 3rd. however as England have already picked the team for the champions trophy that's what they're going to play, no Trott, no Cook, Ed Joyce even, Trescothick has retired from international cricket even though England keep asking him to come back.. he's having an AMAZING season at Somerset too!
after watching that again i can't help but wonder.
Not much of a conselation but Eoin Morgan fucking demolished Australia's bowling attack in his brief 41 ball innings Johnson going for 18 on the last over didn't help.

Aus will struggle to reach 300
Yeah, but we've got a real deep batting lineup. Might be a tight game. It's a real batting wicket, don't forget that. I reckon the first 20 overs are going to decide it.
Hmm, Paine got out really cheaply. The poms are getting the Aussies out the same way every time. Short pitched fast deliveries at the left shoulder, angling down leg side. Aussies keep gloving it to either the keeper or short leg.
Let's see how well Ponting and Watson can do. I have a feeling that Ferguson and White will save Australia tonight!

not going to fucking get that far, I went to sleep about 5 overs in. woke up with fuck all hope of winning.
Well I'd have put my left bollock on aus to win after 25 overs this comes as no suprise... this is what can be expected by a team that is treating an ODI series as practise for the champions trophy and this all comes at a time when questions are being asked of the future of the 50 over game...
Personally I'd like to see a complete overhaul of the game, perhaps a 40 over/side match wherein each bowler has a maximum of 6 overs with the same number of powerplay overs (20 in the same divisions), which will see teams field a longer tail end and makes losing early wickets more interesting and will see teams fielding 2 or more true all rounders.. (which then makes test cricket more interesting if you can field 2 top class all rounders which potentially opens a space for another specialist batsman higher in the order and plenty of sting left once you reach the 8th man)
Something I think they could toy with is a 4 innings 20 over format of the game. Same rules as a traditional 20/20 however each side has 2 innings, like a test match. Additionally teams would be forced to have each player bat (like a baseball game) which would mean if at the end of the original 20 overs they were say 160/5. They'd resume the second innings with these 2 players batting and the batting order continues below them. Once the tailenders are out it reverts to the opening order.
You'd see teams experimenting with having top order batsman actually at spots 9/10 and some of the bowlers in at 4th or 5th drop.
Wonder if anyone has suggested a similar idea to one of the cricket councils yet?
well 2 balls into the fucking Innings we've lost and YET AGAIN Strauss is out to a ball that was a disgustingly fucking poor descision and the 2nd time in as many innings and there was at least 2 occaisons in the test series... however many bad descisions Aus had, this man has had more than anyone else.
