Topic: Upgrade or Buy new
I'm currently facing a dilema, I'm about to start second semester of university but my current desktop PC is starting to feel its age being unable to play alot of the newer games that are out such as Call of Duty MW2 etc
The current spec is:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13Ghz
300 Gig HD
2 Gb Ram
ATI Radeon X1600 Series Graphics Card
Running Windows 7 Professional
My question is, is it worthwhile to upgrade the graphics card, maybe add some RAM or should I leave it as it is and just buy a completely new system in a couple of months when I have a job and turn this one into something interesting?

Re: Upgrade or Buy new
IMO you should just upgrade in full when you get the money.

Re: Upgrade or Buy new
I had that same cpu and 2gb of ram before, and tbh other than a new video card there is nothing to upgrade. 4gb of ram may help with windows 7, but a video card will help the most if you are worried about games. I know that cpu is a few years old now so you'll need a new motherboard anyway, may as well upgrade completely.

i played mw2 with a 7300gt 256mb 1 gb ram and a worse processor than yours.
But yes i'd do a full upgrade, you can keep that copy of windows 7 !
