Re: dual monitors full screen
hmmmm i too would also like to know a good work around with this.
If i put the game into a window my mouse moves off the game and into my other screen and when i click it clicks on a window and fucks my skillz up.

I don't have that problem with L4D2. My mouse is locked to the game screen unless the game is in a mode where the mouse shows(settings or chat or server browser).
I have my dual monitors configured in Windows and play on the monitor that has that task bar.

Re: dual monitors full screen
Some games work like that... and some games don't though like you said...
I think you are going to have a problem with each games config with dual screens....

Re: dual monitors full screen
It minimizes for me sometimes, but I just upgraded to 4GB ram, and it takes no more than 1 second to minimize L4D2, and 1 second to maximize it.

no no ....
i am saying with two monitors if my mouse goes into another screen and i click it messes my game up because it clicks a link instead of gaining me a head kill...
and you know that i do have the i7 and 12 gigs of ddr3 ... i can open photoshop / left4dead / other big programs up in less that 1 sec ... even if i was running all of them at the same time.
Bitch.

Doesn't matter if you have a quad core with HT for gaming really. Games are only starting to emerge with multicore rendering. Also 12GB DDR3 is the most retarded thing I have ever heard of. I mean shit, that's atleadt $500 in RAM... 8GB of it is never used.

12GB DDR3 isn't really retarded, running simulations or bigger server processes you're gonna need a fuck load of ram. For a normal home computer yeah its a fucking waste.
Well depends what games you play with multicore rendering, for instance Supreme Commander (3 year old game) had absolute perfect multicore rendering with a little tool to help.

Yes, and tests have shown it only gives a little performance boost. And that is only with the new Core i5/i7.
Also, Kossu I understand it helps with servers, and stuff like that, but he obviously isn't running one and is using 12GB for his e-peen
