American paratroopers are still considered a normal soldier, you do have units that are solely used for paratroops, but to become airborne all you must do is go to a thing a 2-3 week course and get certified for jumping.
 
Same thing with air assualt, which would be deployment by helicopter.

Toughest US military routes are EOD, Ranger, Special Forces, and Intel. 99% of the other jobs are mainly based off going to a tech school for a few months.</content>

Though you shouldn&#039;t over estimate the Finnish military service just because of this lol. I was in one of the toughest trainings (only special forces are tougher, the recon training is about the same level as our para troopers). Other places are a fucking joke :P
